The study focusÂes on assessÂing migrant vulÂnerÂaÂbilÂiÂties, proÂtecÂtion needs and expoÂsure to exploitaÂtion before migraÂtion, durÂing their tranÂsit and upon arrival through a qualÂiÂtaÂtive research based on migrantsâ expeÂriÂences of irregÂuÂlar migraÂtion to CanaÂda â with a focus on Afghan and SyrÂiÂan migrants.
The objecÂtives of this study are to map out of the charÂacÂterÂisÂtics of the curÂrent and develÂopÂing smugÂgling netÂworks that have CanaÂda as a final desÂtiÂnaÂtion and assess the vulÂnerÂaÂbilÂiÂties and exploitaÂtion that migrants are exposed to durÂing their journeys.
